Oh, I do have one like that too. The only problem I have with mine is that if I turn it on, it tends to smell too strong (must be the fragrant I am using). So I just have it there and it vaguely kind of helps me to make my kitchen smell a bit better.
I am with you on this. I do want to have my kitchen to smell good after all that cooking.
One reason I don't cook is I can't stand the smell of food in my tiny apartment, esp. on the towels, sheets, sofa, etc. Eck!
