Egg over Rosti (Fried Potato Cake)

For a change, weekend breakfast can be made just a little extra special with sunnyside-up over Rösti (Rösti is a traditional Swiss breakfast dish made with roughly grated potato that is either cooked or raw).

The Crisco Light Olive Oil can be perfect for making Rösti.

And let's do it Gordom Ramsay style. Not his recipe but how he cooks. There are too many reality shows here in the US (Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Masterchef) that feature him as celebrity-chef-not-cooking but there is really none that feature him...really...cooking. The first time I saw him seriously cook...was in The F Word.

And I love his style (his absolutely short and sweet one-word cooking) which I am going to "copy" today for the essence of making Rösti. Here goes.

Yukon Gold Potatoes. Peel

Grate.

Fry. Salt.

Flip. Fry. Done.

Breakfast? Top...egg sunnyside-up.

Serve.

And that's it. Breakfast or brunch made easy.

Of course, Crisco Olive Oil also made the task easier with each olive oil (Light, Pure or Extra Virgin) created for different methods of cooking.

*The Crisco Olive Oil was received as part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program. Thank you Foodbuzz and Crisco
