that ma po tofu LOOKS so incredibly spicy though! What caused it to be so red but not spicy?

steamy, it must have gotta do with the chili bean paste they use. I swear it's not spciy as it seems.

Szechuan dishes seem to be all ladle with lots of chili oil and red peppers. It does give the spicy look, eventhough it's not.
