Wine tastes different around the world. The geographical location, the soil, the water, the climate - specific conditions of each, then combined, gives you a wine of different characteristics, whether it is red wine or white wine; be it Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc. You can now be in Tastevine to search the wines you prefer and even have wine recommendations made for you.
As I usually prefer white wine, I tried looking for Chardonnay in Tastevine and found numerous reviews/recommendations about Chardonnay. For a beginner like me, the description of each really helps me make my choice. If you are a Merlot lover, or even Riesling, you can find all of them in Tastevine.
Seems like most ladies prefer white as they tend to be fruitier, sweeter, less tannic and thus easier to drink. But if you manage to get your hands on one of those expensive french reds (1st growth) - they are just as good to drink. Only problem is that they break your bank account!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm,I love any wine...I like to drink chardonny or zinfandel during summer and red wine during winter ro warm up body..For a beginner, just try moderate price one, later use to it or understand the flavour or taste then upgrade yourself,,hehehe!! that why I do!!

Girl, we get a variety of wine here but often don't trust to buy from any and everyone because I don't think they understand the need to store wines at a particular temperature and you know that in the Caribbean it is hot here all the time. Too often I've ordered wine only to taste vinegar. Ack!
ReplyDeleteMmmm...wine!

ReplyDeleteIf you are still on the hunt for a good Chard, I'm personally quite fond of Louis Jadot's whites - Meursault, Chardonnay, Macon-Villages. Give 'em a try!
