From left: Cooking wine, white pepper, dark soy sauce, sesame oil, black vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, oyster sauce, cooking oil
With these, can I really really start some simple cooking? Yes. I think I can.
I remember I have others coming in my moving shipment - sea salt, kosher salt, black pepper, some dried herbs...all new (unused) but they have ALL not arrived as of today! :(
So I could only stock up my dry pantry partially. What I don't have, I buy(above). What I have but not here with me now, I can only wait.
Meanwhile, I'll be waiting p-a-t-i-e-n-t-l-y for my pantry to be complete. Another excuse not to cook.

ReplyDeleteOh, that Lea & Perrins worcestershire sauce brings back some memories. My grandfather had one, and I would put some on my soups.

ReplyDeleteSo neat! My kitchen pantry used to be like this when I moved in. Now it is all messed up, just like after a war. haha!
ReplyDeleteOooo .. those bottles still look very clean! Ha ha ha. Whenever I start my 'cooking season', I can be very messy and .. erm .. things do get spilt out here and there, on and off the bottles ... lol.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are well stocked for some easy stir-fry!
ReplyDeletei have something similar, but all in the mini version of it. :-)
ReplyDeletei dun cook as often as you do, so even the mini ones last very long!
Wow! You already have the "essentials" in your pantry. No excuse not to cook! :)
ReplyDeleteHua teow wine is a must have! Hope to see u start cooking again. ;)
ReplyDeletehehehe i love your excuse...i wanna use it also :)
ReplyDeleteHehe, yours is starting to look like the "spice cupboard" Nigella Lawson keeps... a bit more and it's fully stocked! :D
ReplyDeleteThat's plenty of stuff to get started cooking. Hop to it lady! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou are so great at cooking, I could just give you water and rice and you'd make a 12 course meal! Your pantry is "stocked!"
ReplyDeleteI have the same ingredients in my asian pantry except for the L & P sauce. That is in my western pantry :) By the way are you staying in Taiwan for good?
ReplyDeleteyou don't like to use canola oil? :)
ReplyDeletei have the same stock! :D where are you moving from? are you moving back to CA?
ReplyDeleteSo nice to be back home, can get all the sauces and seasonings to fill up your pantry, jealous lah.
ReplyDeleteHope you get everything you need for your pantry.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy building/adding onto my pantry. There are so many interesting new things to try.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by Just Cook It, great to read your comment.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great start to a storecupboard. I need to get some of those myself!
I donch have these in my pantry .. it's next to my stove. But hor.. i thought you have to keep the oyster sauce in the fridge once it's opened..?? no..??
ReplyDeleteAs long as you have Lea and Perrins in your kitchen, you can cook anything. My wife and I love to cook so we buy sauces in big bottles. We even use recycled (from last night's dinner) food and turn 'em into some mouthwatering dishes.
