"Oven-Fried" Meatless "Ground/Mince Meat"

This oven-"fried" meatless mince is like "meat-sauce" without the sauce, without the meat. Besides making Vegetarian Mapo Tofu, this meatless mince versatility can easily be extended to make such balanced meatless meals.

A batch of oven-"fried" mince is "blank canvas" for other stir-fries too; or tossed with pasta (above) or mixed in with quinoa (below), then served with vegetables as a complete meal.

You can always make your own vegetarian meatless mince (Vegetarian Simmered "Meat" Sauce) from scratch with diced mushrooms and tofu. It is definitely healthier and taste more naturally delicious than store-bought plant-based mince which wins on convenience but end of the day, still partially processed.

"Oven-Fried" Meatless Ground/Mince Meat
Ingredients:
8-oz pack of meatless mince/grounds
Bunch of green onions, chopped, yielding about 1-2 cups of chopped green onions
1-2 tsp garlic powder

Directions: Preheat oven 375F. Drizzle a little cooking oil on the parchment paper lining the baking tray. Spread out meatless mince on oiled parchment-lined tray, sprinkle garlic, onions over mince, then cook in oven till mince is cooked/"caramelized" in about 20-30mins. Halfway cooking in the oven, break up the mince using spatula/spoon/fork and allow the onions and garlic flavors to mix with mince at the same time (Check this link for more). Return tray to oven to finish rest of cooking. When done, add "oven-fried" mince to cooked pasta or quinoa, toss and mix well, served over steamed/stir-fried vegetables
