Shiokingly good Singapore (Season2) Part 4 - Siglap Kwey Chap
Kway Chap (粿汁 guǒ zhī) - a Teochew dish of flat, broad rice sheets in a soup made with dark soy sauce, served with pig offal, braised duck meat, various kinds of beancurd, preserved salted vegetables, and braised hard-boiled eggs.
This Siglap kway chap in found in Siglap. I don't know the exact address of this corner coffeeshop in which the stall is located. It's beside a "long kang" (big drain), and to the right of the drain, is Siglap Center. This Siglap kwey chap stall is found in this corner coffeeshop to the left of the drain. Oh, please don't associate kwey chap with drain ok? But I do know not everyone will like this dish. I have no special liking for this dish, except just once in a while. Siglap kway chap - their kway chap ingredients smell and tasted "fresh" and good, well-prepared. and well-cooked. Another YUM!
