Leeks with Five-Spice Tofu 青蒜炒五香豆干

What can be done with these homemade hijiki-infused five-spice marinated tofu ? Leeks and Tofu is a classic vegetarian stir-fry found in some Chinese families. Why not try it using these homemade "flavored" tofu?


This Caramelized Leeks, Carrots with Five-Spice Tofu is well-balanced in taste with the leeks imparting hint of caramelized notes to the savory smoky tofu.




Caramelized Leeks, Carrots with Five-Spice Tofu 青蒜炒五香豆干豆腐
Start up a pan, lightly oiled, saute 1/2 leek thinly sliced and 1/2 carrots thinly sliced. When leeks are slightly browned and caramelized, add in some brussel sprouts leaves, cover the pan and allow the steam in the pan to cook the vegetables. After about 3 minutes, add five-spice marinated Tofu and mix well with the veggies in the pan.
