Easy Garlic Bread Toast

This is an updated Garlic Bread Toast recipe from the earlier Garlic-Herb Butter Crostini posted way back in 2009. Well, thanks to two huge loaves of French bread that I've been making (and eating) many garlic bread toasts!

Easy Garlic Bread Toast
Ingredients: French bread, sliced at the bias, about 0.5-1 inch thickness each slice; 0.3oz unsalted butter - softened at room temperature; 1 clove garlic, finely minced; pinches of dried herbs e.g. basil, oregano (fresh herbs such as cilantro, basil, parsley is even better but I only had dried herbs), about 2tbsp of shredded or grated Parmesan cheese

Directions: Preheat toaster oven at 400F. Prepare the garlic spread - when the butter is slightly softened, add in the minced garlic, herbs, cheese then mix them thoroughly into the butter. Spread the garlic-herb-cheese-butter on one side of the bread slice, then place the bread slices (slathered side up) onto a tray. Bake about 10-12 minutes till the bread becomes toasted, golden brown.
